MUSSOORIE

The Queen of the Hills

DEHRADUN

The capital city of Uttarakhand, which is at an elevation of 447m. It is one of those beautiful cities located in the mountain tracks of the nation nestled among the mountain ranges of the Himalayas. It is a major tourist attraction with the varied geographical location.  As it is a home to various educational institutions, this amazing place is also known as “Oxford of India”.

NAINITAL

Nainital is a perfect piece of art for all the tourists. The lush green hills and the ranges provide the tourists a mesmerising sight.  On the northern bank of the Nainital Lake is the location of The Nanda Devi Temple, which is another sightseeing spot of a historical structure. There are other various popular spots in Nainital as well. The Nainital Zoo is another point of attraction here. There are rare species like the snow leopard, the Himalayan Black Bear and the Steppe Eagle spotted here.

PANGOT

Located 15Km away from Nainital, Pangot is an amazing place perfect for Bird seeing. There are over 150 birds been noted in this region. There is a birding lodge available that provides a closer watch at the birds. They tend to move to the lower regions of the Himalaya for the chilling winter.

ALMORA

Almora is located about 1638m above sea level, on a horse shoe shaped ridge of the hill Kasaya. There are many unique temples situated in the region such as the Golu Devta and the Nanda Devi Temple, Kasar Devi etc. The Katarmal Temple is known to an 800 year old Sun Temple. One of the best sights in this region is definitely the sunrise or the sunset at the Bright End Corner.

AULI

Located at an elevation of 2,800m, Auli is situated in the Chamoli district in the Himalayan Mountains in Uttarakhand. Auli is known to be the best place to enjoy the activity of Skiing. The place is dotted with the old oaks, pine trees and the apple orchards which showcases the natural beauty of the region. It is also known as Auli Bugyal, in Garhwali meaning “meadows”. It is a white wonderland with the snow covered everywhere.

BHIMTAL

Bhimtal is located at an elevation of 1371m above sea level.  It is for best known for its enchanting lake. The Bhimtal Lake is also situated here, with which, there is also a masonry dam built with the storage facility in the year 1883, supplying water for drinking along with the life of varied species of aqua life.
