Lansdowne is a hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand at an elevation of 1,780m with an area of 6.09km2. Lansdowne received its name from Lord Lansdowne who was the viceroy of India during a period of 1888 to 1894. It is one of the serene hill stations in the nation. The place was initially founded as a military garrison under the British rule.

The exploration in the reserve is through the open jeep, where one can spot not just the tigers but also other animals such as elephants, porcupines, leopard and much more. The park is also home to more than 580 species of birds as well.
