Mussoorie is a hill station located at an elevation of 2005M in the Dehradun district. Nestled among the foothills of the ranges of the Garhwal Himalayan, it is also known as the Queen of The Hills. During the British Era, this spectacular hill station was among the major holiday destination. During the winters, Mussoorie gets occasional snowfall. The beauty of this place has always been addictive. There are various activities that are carried out in this place such as the rock climbing, paragliding, sky walk adventure etc.


With the majestic landscapes around, the mountains and the green valley’s around, the path of the nature is completely another way to explore. Walking down the lane and the roads in the area towards Happy Valley is a mesmerising view. Trekking is the popular activity in the state of Uttarakhand. Mussoorie is popularly known as the gateway to the shrines of Yamunotri and Gangotri. The town has various trails available for the treks and other various activities.  There are various treks such as the Dodital trek, Har Ki Dun Trek etc.


It seems like a little too much adventurous. Mussoorie consists of various rocks sizing varying from 15M to 182M. The places are surrounded by the various types of meadows and trees, which create a breathtaking look at the Himalayan peaks which is one of the best views to capture in the eye.


The Benog Wildlife Sanctuary is the home to various types of species of fauna from the very common to the rare species as well. There are Himalayan Goats, Panthers, Leopards, deer and many more present in this place. Various exotic birds are also seen in this place like the mountain quills, red billed blue magpie etc. There are also various trees such as the pine, fir that surrounds the place with. The elegant views of the Bandarpunch and the Chaukhamba peaks are seen being covered with the snow.


Rafting ranges from the easy level to the most adventurous ones as well. The river that flows through its watery rocky paths and the changing direction of flow of water keeps the thrill of the activity throughout. There are several changing and challenging rapids in the stretches along the rivers like the Kali, Alakananda etc.


The Kempty Falls is located around 15Km away from the centre of Mussoorie. It is known to be the most attractive spot amongst the tourists and the travellers. The water falls down thorough at a height of almost 12 Meters. The cool breeze and the water in this area let the mind to cool down.


The Mall Road gives the ambience of a perfect Indian style market in a hill station. It offers an amazing view of the Doon valley and also provides one of the best shopping experiences for the travellers. The wooden decoration items, handicrafts, handmade traditional jewels and various other things are available in the Mall Road.
