Monks on Wheels in collaboration with KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation) presents to you Ride to BR Hills, a 2-day experience of riding in the BRT wildlife sanctuary.
BR Hills is awesome! Here’s why?
BR Hills is a pilgrimage site, thanks to the beautiful Biligiri Rangaswamy temple. The temple is located on the top of a white cliff which gives the hill its name Bili Giri and the deity is called Biligiri Ranga.
The forests here are home to gaurs, bears, chital, sambhar, tigers, leopards, wild dogs, elephants and four-horned antelopes. The sanctuary is home to more than 200 bird species including the crested eagle, the white winged tit and the racket tailed drongo.

Warning: You are about to read the most exciting section, a signature hand-crafted, Monks On Wheels experience. This is for people who want to join for some true adventure and unique fun.

Short Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday)
1) We say bye to Namma Bengaluru at around 6 AM.
2) A short stop for Breakfast enroute at Maddhur Tiffanys (Unlimited Food Menu).
3) Continue the ride and reach Hotel Mayura Biligiri of KSTDC at BR hills
4) Check-in to your rooms and freshen up.
5) Have sumptuous lunch(Veg) at the hotel.
6) Ride in the wild forest of BR Hills to the sunset view point.
7) Return back to our hotel.
8) Freshen up for some tea and piping hot snacks.
9) Warm up, indulge in activities, or dance the evening away, hosted by our fun-experts.
10) Dig into a traditional dinner which is unlimited! (Veg)
11) Sleep like a baby overnight in premium twin sharing rooms.
Day 2 (Sunday)
1) Wake up to the sounds of nature at 5 AM.
2) Go for a safari in BRT.
3) Return back to the hotel and enjoy the morning breakfast.
4) Visit to the famous Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple.
5) Relax and enjoy the beautiful view of BR hills and its surroundings.
6) Return back to the hotel and check-out at 11 AM.
10) Start the return journey to Bengaluru and lunch (self-sponsored) enroute.
11) Reach Namma Bengaluru in the night (around 7 PM) with memories of a lifetime!

Price per person (Twin sharing Non-AC room): Rs. 3369/- (No Hidden Charges)
Price per person (Twin sharing AC room): Rs. 3669/- (No Hidden Charges)

Advisory

1) Participants should make their own transport arrangements (bike/car).
2) Monks on Wheels organisers will have radio communication device as a part of safety measure.
3) Total ride distance will be approximately 420 km
4) Accommodation will be in AC/Non-AC premium rooms on twin sharing with attached bathrooms.
5) A Whatsapp group will be created 2-3 days before the event where all the necessary information like things to carry, assembly point, time etc will be provided.
6) We need a minimum of 6 people to conduct the event or the event might be cancelled with full refund.
7) In an extremely rare scenario, due to unforeseen incidents like natural calamities, road blocks etc. or restrictions by the government or forest department, the itinerary might be changed/modified depending on the situation.

8) If you don’t have a motorcycle, rent a ride at Royal Brothers at a special discount price.
9) For safety gear and touring accessories, rent or buy at Gear N Ride at a special discount price.

Double dose vaccination of COVID-19 or RTPCR Test report of COVID-19 less than 72 hours is mandatory for all participants.

Ride Rules and Instructions

1. Only bikes of 150cc and above are allowed.
2. Helmet is Mandatory for both Rider and pillion
3. Riding gear is highly recommended.
4. Drink and Drive strictly prohibited
5. A leader and Sweeper will be assigned. All the riders have to stay between the two.
6. All riders need to get and have valid driver’s licenses and vehicle documents.
7. Make sure your bike is serviced and in good condition.

General FAQs

Partial payment is an advance paid to block your slot for a particular event. Remaining amount of the event to be paid online/cash on the day of the trip.

Monks on Wheels will be arranging an Non – AC tempo traveller or a mini bus depending on the group size.

The transport will be arranged from Bengaluru.

Our trips would get confirmed 2-3 days before the event date and you’ll be added to the trip’s WhatsApp group where you’ll receive further necessary information.

Once your registration is confirmed, Monks on Wheels shall provide the exact location of our venue 2-3 days before the event.

Monks on Wheels do not restrict on the age as each individual has their own capabilities. But we would strongly recommend you to contact us so that our travel expert can give you a better idea of the trip.

These are group events open to all categories of people.

Yes, It is completely safe for women travelers. Monks on Wheels events are done keeping certain standards and safety measures. We will always send a minimum of two trip organizers for all our events. For better understanding on how we manage trips, read these reviews by our solo women travelers.

3. All cancellation requests made 5 days prior or on the day of the event, no refund will be made.
4. No refund will be made for any type of cancellation if partial payment is done.
