Monks on Wheels in collaboration with KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation) presents to you Ride to Shivanasamudra, a 2-day experience of thrilling bike ride, scenic view of the twin waterfalls, rejuvenation in the river beach and premium stay at a prime location in Shivanasamudra.
Shivanasamudra is awesome! Here’s why?
The magnificent Shivanasamudra is a breathtaking waterfall located in the Mandya District of Karnataka. Shivanasamudra means Lord Shiva’s sea. This is a segmented waterfall, resulting in multiple side-by-side waterfalls. The western branch results in the twin waterfalls of Gaganachukki, whereas the eastern branch results in the Bharachukki Falls.

1) We say bye to Namma Bengaluru at around 6 AM.
2) A short stop for Breakfast enroute at Maddhur Tiffanys (Unlimited Food Menu).
3) Continue the ride and reach Hotel Mayura Barachikki of KSTDC at Barachikki
4) Check in to your rooms and freshen up & relax.
5) Have sumptuous lunch (Veg & Non-Veg) at the hotel.
6) Ride on the scenic road to Talakadu river beach picnic spot.
7) Dip and submerge yourself in the natural river beach of Talakadu to relax from your long thrilling ride.
8) Return back to the hotel.
9) Freshen up for some tea and piping hot snacks.
10) Gather around for the campfire (if weather permits)
11) Warm-up, indulge in activities or dance the evening away, hosted by our fun-experts.
12) Dig into a traditional dinner that is unlimited! (Veg & Non-veg)
13) Sleep like a baby overnight in premium twin sharing rooms.
1) Wake up to the sounds of nature to a steaming hot cup of coffee.
2) Visit the famous Barachikki Falls.
3) Relax and enjoy the beautiful view and the drizzle of the waterfalls.
4) Enjoy the morning breakfast back at the hotel.
5) Check-out at 11 AM.
6) On our way back we head towards Gaganachikki Falls to see the sun’s radiance being reflexed on the falls
7) Start the return journey to Bengaluru.

1. Only bikes of 150cc and above are allowed.
2. Helmet is Mandatory for both Rider and pillion
3. Riding gear is highly recommended.
4. Drink and Drive strictly prohibited
5. A leader and Sweeper will be assigned. All the riders have to stay between the two.
6. All riders need to get and have valid driver’s licenses and vehicle documents.
7. Make sure your bike is serviced and in good condition.
Partial payment is an advance paid to block your slot for a particular event. Remaining amount of the event to be paid online/cash on the day of the trip.
Monks on Wheels will be arranging an Non – AC tempo traveller or a mini bus depending on the group size.
The transport will be arranged from Bengaluru.
Our trips would get confirmed 2-3 days before the event date and you’ll be added to the trip’s WhatsApp group where you’ll receive further necessary information.
Once your registration is confirmed, Monks on Wheels shall provide the exact location of our venue 2-3 days before the event.
Monks on Wheels do not restrict on the age as each individual has their own capabilities. But we would strongly recommend you to contact us so that our travel expert can give you a better idea of the trip.
These are group events open to all categories of people.
Yes, It is completely safe for women travelers. Monks on Wheels events are done keeping certain standards and safety measures. We will always send a minimum of two trip organizers for all our events. For better understanding on how we manage trips, read these reviews by our solo women travelers.
