Sikkim Tour - Budget Package Overview

Sikkim is one of India’s most enchanting Himalayan destinations, blessed with breathtaking natural beauty, snow-capped mountains, high-altitude passes, pristine alpine lakes, majestic glaciers, cascading waterfalls, hot springs, and a rich cultural heritage. Whether you’re seeking adventure, scenic landscapes, or peaceful mountain retreats.

Monks on Wheels in association with Muddie Trails brings to you the Sikkim tour package that offers the perfect blend of all three.

This specially curated 6 Days Sikkim Tour Package takes you through the most spectacular destinations in East Sikkim and North Sikkim, including Gangtok, Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar Lake, Yumthang Valley, and the iconic Nathu La Pass.

Your journey begins in Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim. Perched amidst the Himalayas, Gangtok is known for its colonial charm, colorful monasteries, bustling MG Road, and mesmerizing views of the mighty Kanchenjunga range. The city’s unique blend of modern comforts and traditional culture makes it the perfect introduction to your Sikkim adventure.

The next destination is Lachen, a picturesque mountain village often referred to as the “Gateway to Gurudongmar Lake.” Surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes, Lachen offers travelers an authentic glimpse into the beauty and tranquility of North Sikkim.

A major highlight of this Sikkim holiday package is the visit to the magnificent Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world accessible to visitors. Located at an altitude of over 17,000 feet, this sacred lake is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and awe-inspiring surroundings. During winter, the lake remains largely frozen, while the summer months reveal a stunning blue expanse often described as a true slice of paradise.

From Lachen, the journey continues to Lachung, one of the most beautiful valleys in North Sikkim. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, apple orchards, apricot plantations, and traditional handicraft centers, Lachung is a destination that perfectly captures the charm of the Eastern Himalayas.

A visit to Yumthang Valley, famously known as the Valley of Flowers of Sikkim, is another unforgettable experience. Nestled along the banks of the Lachung River, Yumthang bursts into vibrant colors during the flowering season as thousands of rhododendrons bloom across the valley. The region is also known for its naturally occurring hot water springs, believed by locals to possess therapeutic and medicinal properties.

As the journey moves towards East Sikkim, travelers get the opportunity to explore some of the region’s most iconic attractions. The stunning Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), a glacial lake located at high altitude, is famous for the seasonal changes in the color of its waters. Nearby lies the legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (Baba Mandir), a unique shrine associated with fascinating local folklore and military history.

The adventure culminates at the legendary Nathu La Pass, one of the highest motorable mountain passes in India and a significant border crossing between India and China. Surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, Nathu La offers visitors a rare opportunity to witness the strategic Indo-China border while soaking in spectacular Himalayan views.

Throughout the journey, you will encounter ancient monasteries, colorful Buddhist prayer flags fluttering across mountain bridges, sacred temples, charming villages, and panoramic viewpoints that showcase the untouched beauty of Sikkim. Every moment spent here offers an opportunity to disconnect from daily routines, reconnect with nature, and experience true peace and rejuvenation.

A Sikkim package tour is much more than a holiday—it’s a journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Himalayas. From glittering mountain peaks and serene lakes to vibrant valleys and rich cultural experiences, Sikkim promises memories that last a lifetime.
